András Kiss

András Kiss started work at Prologis Budapest in March 2020 as facility manager. His main responsibilities include liaising with clients and service providers, overseeing operations, and monitoring external subcontractors who support the functioning of the company in the technical field.

He plays a key role in the handover and takeover of leases, checking the high quality of the works carried out, and audits.

András is a professional with a wealth of technical experience, who worked in small power plant operations in the United Kingdom for over 10 years. He moved back to Hungary in 2018 and joined the Prologis team in his current position two years later. He enjoys the pressure his job involves, having to make decisions quickly and solve even the most unexpected problems as efficiently as possible. He is motivated by striving for the highest quality and encouraging others to do the same. What is more, he sees himself as a team player, an attribute he can put to good use in many situations at Prologis.

András came to Prologis with a wide range of professional experience, but says that it is here that he found his feet. He attributes this to the following reasons: “Prologis is very supportive – a trait that permeates the company’s culture. It is typified by a human approach that contributes greatly to ensuring that people who work here feel good. Furthermore, our professional development is aided by a variety of training courses that all employees can apply for – everyone can find one that suits their interests and professional growth. I’ve learned an immense amount here and I’m continuously learning, partly because I did not come from specifically this sector and yet can draw on my previous experience gained in different fields.”

“From the viewpoint of sustainability, the company’s endeavors to become carbon neutral in construction activities by 2025 are of paramount importance not only in Hungary, but also globally. However, this objective is also evident in our continuous efforts to apply new, innovative solutions and develop buildings for our tenants along these lines. This is in their interests too and, of course, we also try to bear cost savings in mind while doing so.”

One of András’s daily tasks is communicating and keeping in regular contact with clients, and he strives to foster excellent relations with them during his work.

András believes in open, honest and transparent communication and the fact that this approach pervades Prologis as well is highly important for him. “We treat our clients as partners and communicate with each other in an open and transparent way. Liaising in this way makes the work of all parties easier, reliable and transparent. I like that teamwork, perfectionism and transparent client communication are all vital elements at Prologis, which I find very easy to identify with.”
