Prologis Hungary has partnered with Habitat for Humanity, the global nonprofit housing organization. The alliance exemplifies Prologis’ commitment to work with organizations that improve stability and self-reliance in the communities where we live and work.
The partnership started in 2013 on IMPACT Day, Prologis’ annual day of service. IMPACT Day is deeply engrained into Prologis’ culture, embodying the company’s core values of Integrity, Mentorship, Passion, Accountability, Courage and Teamwork (IMPACT).
In past years, the Prologis Hungary team participated in Habitat projects, such as refurbishing a social housing unit for a single mother and her two children. In 2018, the staff heard about a new initiative to help raise donations for Habitat by running in a half-marathon. Always up for a new challenge, the energetic team signed up for a fundraising semi-marathon in Budapest. In their typically efficient fashion, the office formed two relay teams, laced up their running shoes, trained and raised money for the cause.
On 15 April, both Prologis teams went the distance, accomplishing a physical goal, contributing to help Habitat for Humanity raise more than €2,000 and making memories that will last a lifetime.
