Demoautoplast, a leading Czech manufacturer of premium safety, visual and technical parts for the automotive industry, established its headquarters at Prologis Park Prague-Jirny with the construction of a 12,350 square meter build-to-suit property that showcased Prologis’ ability to meet exacting and challenging specifications.
The facility garnered an “Excellent” BREEAM accreditation and was built to conserve energy, saving 21 percent of primary energy because of quality construction supplies and technical equipment. Built according to ISO 14.001 standards, the facility is fitted with low- and zero-carbon technologies, energy- and water-monitoring systems, low water consumption (the building’s total water savings are 57.2 percent), strip skylights to provide over 6 percent of natural daylight, smart metering, external LED lighting, a compressed air distribution network, and electrically powered exterior sun blinds. To fulfill strict Energy Performance Certificate requirements, the building also has higher-than-standard insulation in the roof.
Technical specifications include all molding injection machines installed with heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment, while the floor load was built for 7 tons per square meter.
